Ingredients
-
150 g Walnuts
-
150 ml Milk, whole milk
-
1 slice Bread, wheat
-
1 pod Garlic, fresh
-
50 g Cheese, Parmesan, grated
-
1 spoon Oil, olive
-
pieces Salt, table
-
400 g Pasta, Macaroni
Steps
-
Cut the crust off the bread to get the center, place it in a bowl, and pour milk over it.
-
Place a pot with a larger amount of salted water for cooking pasta on the stove. Add the penne to the boiling water and cook for the time indicated on the package.
-
In the container of an electric chopper (multipurpose kitchen machine), add walnuts, Parmesan, olive oil, peeled garlic, and the soaked bread center. Grind the ingredients finely to get a thick and creamy sauce, which you season with pepper and salt to taste. If the sauce is too thick, thin it with milk.
-
Just before draining the penne, save a cup of the cooking liquid. Drain the penne and return it to the pot, then pour the walnut sauce over it. Add enough of the saved liquid to get a medium-thick sauce that clings nicely to the pasta.
-
Serve the penne on plates. Sprinkle some grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, sliced chives, or coarsely chopped walnuts on top, then serve the dish.
