Peppers with Ground Meat and Rice in One Pan
When you dont have the time or energy to prepare stuffed peppers, you can quickly and easily make a delicious meal with similar ingredients. An added bonus is that youll only dirty one pan.

Ingredients

1 piece Onion, raw

3 pieces Bell pepper, red, fresh

800 g Tomato, red

2 pod Garlic, fresh

pieces Oil, olive

500 g Meat, beef, ground

200 g Rice, white, long grain

1 teaspoon Spices, basil, dried

1 teaspoon Spices, oregano, dried

4 dl Soup base, beef, cube

150 g Cheese, mozzarella

Steps

Chop the onion, pepper, and tomato into smaller pieces, and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a larger, deeper pan and sauté the ground meat until it turns lightly brown.

Add the onion, pepper, and garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes while stirring, until the vegetables soften. Add the rice, basil, and oregano, and quickly sauté.

Add the tomato to the pan and pour in the broth or water. Stir, cover, and once it boils, reduce the heat and cook for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes of cooking, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Then gently stir and add salt to taste. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and cover again. Once the cheese melts, the dish is ready.

Serve the peppers with ground meat and rice with chopped parsley and a bowl of salad.
