Ingredients
Butter crumbs
-
100 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
100 g Sugar, white
-
1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground
-
70 g Nuts, hazelnuts
-
150 g Butter, unsalted
-
700 g Plum
Shortcrust pastry
-
300 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
150 g Butter, unsalted
-
120 g Sugar, white
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
Steps
-
Cut the butter into smaller cubes. In a large bowl, mix the flour and baking soda. Add sugar, lemon juice, eggs, and butter, and quickly knead everything by hand into a crumbly dough. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
-
Clean the plums, wash them, halve them, and remove the pits. If the plums are large, cut them into quarters. In a bowl, mix flour, hazelnuts, sugar, and cinnamon. Add the butter cubes and crumble the mixture with your hands until it resembles coarse crumbs. Refrigerate the bowl with the butter crumbs until ready to use.
-
Line a baking dish with parchment paper (or grease it well with butter). Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the dough on a floured surface to fit the size of the baking dish. Carefully transfer it to the prepared dish and press it gently with your fingers to fit the bottom and sides. Prick the dough with a fork in several places and arrange the plums densely on top (cut side up). Sprinkle the plums with the butter crumbs and bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes.
-
Once the crumbs turn golden brown, remove the dish from the oven and let the pastry cool. Once cooled, cut the pastry into pieces of your desired size, serve on plates, and enjoy.
