Advice
To enhance the flavor, you can sprinkle powdered cinnamon over the compote. The compote can also be decorated with a slice of lemon. Pierce the plums with a fork while cooking - they should never become so soft that they fall apart! It is best to use an organic lemon, whose peel is not treated with pesticides. If an organic lemon is not available, immerse the lemon in boiling water for a few minutes and wipe it well to remove the wax containing toxins.
