Plum Pie with Vanilla Pudding from the Baking Dish

Dough

250 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

100 g Powdered sugar

1 pinch Salt, table

150 g Butter, unsalted

1 piece Egg, fresh

pieces Milk, whole milk

pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola

6 dl Milk, whole milk

5 spoon Sugar, white

1 bag Pudding, vanilla

2 piece Egg, fresh

0.5 kg Plum

1 handful Nuts, almonds

Sift the flour into a bowl and mix it with powdered sugar and salt. Add the diced butter to the mixture. Quickly rub the butter into the dry ingredients with your fingertips, lifting the mixture to make it airy and crumbly. Add the egg and cold milk, then knead everything together with cold hands to form a smooth dough. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. In a small bowl, mix 1 dl of cold milk with sugar. Add the pudding powder and eggs, and stir until smooth. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.

Place a saucepan on the stove and pour in the remaining milk. Once the milk comes to a boil, reduce the heat and slowly whisk in the egg-pudding mixture. Cook for another 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the pudding thickens. Once the pudding is ready, remove the saucepan from the heat.

Lightly grease a large rectangular baking dish with oil and line it with parchment paper. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to fit the size of the baking dish. Carefully place the dough into the dish and press it gently against the bottom and sides. Prick the dough with a fork in several places. Spread the pudding cream evenly over the dough.

Wash the plums, halve them, and remove the pits. Arrange the plum halves on top of the pudding cream (cut side up). Sprinkle almond slices over the plums, then place the baking dish in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
