Polenta, Walnut, and Apple Cake
We all know very well that apples and walnuts are an excellent combination. If we add polenta, we get a perhaps slightly unusual but very tasty gluten-free dessert that is extremely simple to prepare.

100 g Sugar, white

50 ml Oil, olive

100 g Polenta

40 g Koruzna moka, whole grain, yellow

100 g Walnuts

1 bag Baking powder

1 teaspoon Spices, cinnamon, ground

Steps

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line a 20-centimeter cake pan with baking paper. To make this easier, crumple the paper first.

Peel the apples if desired, dice two of them, and slice the third one thinly. Pour lemon juice over the sliced apples and mix them.

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add sugar, and beat with an electric mixer until they become lighter and triple in volume.

Mix in the olive oil, polenta, cornmeal, ground walnuts, baking powder, and cinnamon into the beaten eggs, and finally add the diced apples.

Pour the mixture into the cake pan, smooth the top, decorate with apple slices, and sprinkle with brown sugar.

Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar if desired and serve.
