Polenta with Basil

Steps

Pour a liter of water into a pot. Add a tablespoon of butter and a teaspoon of salt, and bring the water to a boil.

Stir instant polenta and chopped basil into the boiling liquid. Stir over moderate heat for a few minutes until the polenta thickens (follow the manufacturer's instructions for cooking).

Grease a small rectangular dish with oil. Transfer the cooked polenta into the dish, spread it evenly over the entire surface, and smooth the top. Let the polenta cool.

Once cooled, remove the polenta from the dish and cut it into desired pieces. It serves excellently as a side dish for chicken cutlets in Parmesan sauce.
