200 g Wheat, durum

200 g Spices, poppy

200 ml Honey

100 g Nuts, almonds

100 g Walnuts

50 g Raisins

5 pieces Date, fresh or dried

Sort the wheat grains, place them in a colander, and rinse thoroughly under running water. Soak the grains in cold water for 5-6 hours, then cook them slowly for 3 hours. The grains should be soft but not overcooked. Drain the cooked grains thoroughly.

Sort the raisins, rinse them, drain, and soak in rum. Place the poppy seeds in a smaller pot, pour boiling water over them, and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Then drain them well to make them as dry as possible.

Chop the dates. In a large bowl, mix the poppy seeds, cooked wheat grains, honey, nuts, and dried fruit.

Spread the prepared mixture into dessert bowls and store it in the refrigerator until serving. Garnish with walnut halves and almond slices.
