Poppy Seed Slices
An extremely quick dessert to prepare, as the oven does most of the work. During baking, the layers will separate, making it look like you put in a lot of effort. Just make sure to let it cool completely before slicing and serving.

Ingredients

10 pieces Egg, fresh

300 g Sugar, white

250 g Butter, unsalted

100 g chocolate, dark

1 l Milk, whole milk

200 g Spices, poppy

10 spoon Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

Steps

Preheat the oven to 165 degrees Celsius. Grease a baking dish measuring 30 x 40 centimeters with butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds (remove any excess seeds).

Separate the egg whites and yolks into two bowls. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add sugar to the yolks and beat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes light and fluffy.

Mix melted butter and melted white chocolate into the beaten yolks. Pour in the milk, add poppy seeds and flour, and mix well. Gently and slowly fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 70 minutes.

Let the baked cake cool completely, then cut it into slices, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
