Ingredients
-
4 pieces Meat, pork, pork fish
-
pieces Salt, table
-
2 piece Onion, raw
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
3 spoons Butter, unsalted
-
1.5 dl Water
-
0.5 dl Sweet cream
-
0.5 spoons Thyme, fresh
-
pieces Parsley, fresh
Steps
-
Wash the pork chops, dry them, and season with salt and pepper. Peel the onion and slice it, then finely chop the garlic.
-
Heat oil and two tablespoons of butter in a large pan and sear the pork chops on both sides. Cook each side for 3 to 4 minutes. Once nicely browned, transfer them to a plate and cover.
-
Add the remaining butter to the pan and start sautéing the onion. Stir and cook for 10 minutes, gradually reducing the heat so the onion caramelizes nicely.
-
Add the garlic and quickly sauté it, then pour in water (or broth) and cream. Season with thyme, stir, and add the pork chops to the sauce. Simmer on low heat for 5 more minutes. Serve with chopped parsley.
