Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
4 pieces Meat, pork, ribs
-
3 pinch Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
1 can Pineapple, compote
-
1 piece Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Spices, mace, ground
-
2 teaspoons Sugar, brown
-
1 spoon Soy sauce, shoyu
-
1 teaspoon Tomato, concentrate
Steps
-
Drain the pineapple slices well. Pour most of the drained juice into a bowl, where we mix it with sugar, soy sauce, and tomato paste. Wash the pork chops and dry them with paper towels. Trim off excess fat and season both sides with salt and pepper. Wash and clean the chili (remove the stem and seeds). Slice it into rings.
-
Heat oil in a large pan. Place the seasoned chops on the hot oil and cook them over medium heat for about 5 minutes until they brown nicely. Remove the cooked chops from the pan and keep them warm on a plate.
-
Add the drained pineapple slices to the pan and cook them on each side until a caramel crust forms on the surface. Add the chili rings and the five-spice mix, and stir-fry everything together for another minute. Then pour the mixture from the bowl into the pan and add the cooked chops. Simmer over moderate heat until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Serve the prepared dish on plates, garnish with cilantro leaves, and serve with your chosen side dish.
