1 piece Egg, fresh

-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 piece Bell pepper, red, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 can Tomato, pieces - can
-
pieces Salt, table
Steps
-
Cut the bread into pieces and grind them into breadcrumbs using an electric mixer. Finely chop the onion and parsley. In a large bowl, add the ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, onion, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients well with clean hands to form a uniform and pliable mixture, from which we make 16 to 20 small meatballs.
-
Heat about two tablespoons of oil in a large deep pot and quickly sear the pork meatballs on all sides.
-
While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the ingredients for the sauce. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic separately. Clean, wash, and thinly slice the bell pepper.
-
Remove the seared meatballs from the pot and keep them warm on a plate. Add a little more oil to the pot if needed and sauté the chopped onion. Add the sliced bell pepper and garlic, and cook the ingredients while stirring for 2 to 3 minutes. Then pour in the canned tomatoes. Use a spatula to scrape the bottom of the pot well to release all the caramelized bits that formed during the searing of the meatballs and vegetables. Add a little water and season the sauce with pepper and salt to taste.
-
Return the seared meatballs to the pot. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium, partially cover the pot, and cook the dish for another 15 to 20 minutes. Turn the meatballs several times during cooking, and add a little more water if needed. Serve the prepared dish with the chosen side.
