Steps
-
Prepare the basic meat mixture using ground pork. Peel the onion, wash it, and finely chop it. Wash the parsley, shake it dry, and chop it. Soak the bread in water. Place the ground meat in a bowl, add salt, and knead it well with wet hands.
-
Place a pan with butter on the stove and wait for it to melt. Then quickly sauté the onion and parsley in it. Squeeze the soaked bread and tear or cut it into pieces. Add the bread and sautéed onion to the bowl with the meat, along with an egg and spices. Knead all the ingredients well with wet hands. Shape the prepared mixture into small meatballs.
-
Prepare the sauce. Wash the tomato, clean it, and cut it into small cubes. Wash and chop the onion. Peel and chop the garlic. Heat oil in a larger pot, add the onion, and sauté it until lightly golden. Add the garlic, tomato, peas, oregano, pepper, salt, and a little water. Mix everything well and cook over medium heat.
-
Place a larger pan on the stove and heat oil in it. Quickly fry the meatballs in the hot oil. Turn them several times while frying to ensure they brown evenly on all sides. When the sauce starts to boil, add the fried meatballs. Cover the pot, reduce the heat, and let the sauce simmer slowly for 20 minutes. At the end, add sour cream to the sauce and mix it in.
-
Arrange the meatballs and sauce on plates and serve with a side dish.
