Ingredients
-
400 g Meat, pork, thigh
-
12 pieces Tortilla, corn
-
200 g Cheese, cottage cheese
-
1 piece Avocado, fresh
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
1 teaspoon Spices, chili powder
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
3 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
2 twigs Parsley, fresh
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Thoroughly wash the meat and dry it with paper towels. Remove any fatty parts and cut it into as small and thin pieces as possible. Place the meat in a bowl, season with salt, pepper, chili, and add a tablespoon of oil. Mix everything well so that the meat is coated with the spices and oil on all sides. Peel and clean the avocado, then cut it into smaller cubes. Place the avocado cubes in a bowl and drizzle with lemon juice to retain their green color.
-
Heat the oil well in a deep pan. The oil is hot enough when bubbles start to form around a wooden spoon dipped into it. Then dip the tortilla into the oil and fry each side for no more than 1 minute. Place the tortilla on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the process until all tortillas are fried.
-
In another pan, heat a tablespoon of oil and add the meat. Fry it for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it gets a nice brown color and a crispy texture.
-
Rinse the parsley under running water, shake it well, and pluck the leaves. Place two fried tortillas on a plate and top them with the meat. Sprinkle with cottage cheese and add a few avocado cubes on top. Garnish the tostada with a parsley leaf, sticking it into the avocado.

Fry in a large amount of fat. The food should float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut oil or good quality oil. Corn tortillas can also be made at home.
