Pork with Pears and Gorgonzola

Steps

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Wash the pork chops and dry them thoroughly with paper towels. Season both sides lightly with pepper and salt. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Slice both halves into thicker pieces. Wash the pears and remove the stems and cores. Cut them into eighths.

Place the pears and onion in a greased deep baking dish. Add a few rosemary leaves and place the dish in the preheated oven. Heat oil in a pan. Place the seasoned chops on the hot oil and quickly sear them on both sides. Add the chops along with the fat and juices released during searing to the baking dish with the pears and onion. Bake the dish in the preheated oven for another 20 minutes.

Remove the baking dish from the oven and distribute pieces of Gorgonzola over the meat and pears. Sprinkle with the remaining rosemary leaves and serve the prepared dish with your chosen side.
