Steps

Peel the potatoes, wash them, and cut them into pieces. Clean and wash the leek, then chop it very finely. Peel the garlic and chop it finely. Place a larger pot with one and a half liters of water on the stove, add the potato pieces, and cook for about 15 minutes.

Drain the cooked potatoes well, mash them, and let them cool. Place a pan on the stove and heat a tablespoon of oil. Sauté the leek and garlic for about 2 minutes, then add the potatoes, salt, pepper, and cottage cheese. Mix everything well to form a uniform mixture.

Prepare a flat plate with flour. Shape 8 patties from the slightly cooled potato mixture with your hands, first coat them in flour, and then place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Place a pan on the stove and heat the remaining oil. Fry the patties on both sides for about 10 minutes until they turn golden brown. Place the cooked patties on a paper towel to remove excess fat.

Thoroughly wash and dry a sprig of dill. Place sour cream in a small bowl and garnish it with the dill sprig. Serve the prepared patties on plates, place the bowl of sour cream in the center, and offer it as a side dish to your guests.
