Potato Bake with Bread and Bacon

4 spoon Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

4 spoon Meat, pork, smoked bacon

4 spoon Milk, whole milk

100 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon

Thoroughly wash half of the potatoes under running water (scrub them if necessary). Place them in a pot, cover with cold water, and boil them in their skins.

Wait for the boiled potatoes to cool slightly, then peel and coarsely grate them. Peel, wash, and coarsely grate the remaining potatoes. Add all the potatoes to a large bowl and mix them with flour, beaten eggs, chopped cracklings, milk, pepper, and salt.

Grease a deep baking dish well with oil. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Line the bottom of the greased dish with slices of bread and cover them with the potato mixture. Arrange slices of bacon on top of the mixture. Place the dish in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes.

Once the ingredients are nicely baked, remove the dish from the oven and cut the bake into pieces. Serve with a bowl of salad, and warm sauerkraut is also an excellent side dish.
