- Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
6 pieces Potatoes, white
-
1 teaspoon Salt, table
-
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps
-
Wash the potatoes, peel them, wash them again thoroughly, and slice them as thinly as possible with a sharp knife. Dry the potato slices well with a kitchen towel to ensure they are as dry as possible.
-
Heat the oil well in a deep pot. The layer of oil should be at least 3 cm high. Add a handful of potato slices to the hot oil. Fry them for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring several times with a spoon to prevent them from sticking. Remove the fried slices with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Repeat the process until all slices are fried.
-
Transfer the potato chips to a larger bowl, season with salt, and mix well. Serve the prepared snack.

Advice
The chips can also be seasoned with hot paprika, rosemary, etc. Fry in a large amount of fat. The food must float in it. For frying, use fats that do not contain water, such as coconut fat or good oil. The frying fat is hot enough when small bubbles form around a wooden spoon handle.
