Potato Gratin
Excellent as a main dish or as a side, potato gratin will brighten up any meal with its appearance and taste.

Ingredients

1 kg Potatoes, white

150 ml Sour cream

150 ml Sweet cream

1 pod Garlic, fresh

150 g Cheese, groats

20 g Butter, unsalted

0.75 teaspoons Salt, table

3 pinch Spices, pepper, black
Steps

Peel and wash the potatoes. Slice them thinly and keep them in cold water until use. Grease an ovenproof dish with butter. Peel the garlic, crush it with a knife, and finely chop. In a bowl, mix the sour cream and heavy cream, add the garlic, and mix well.

Preheat the oven to 160 °C. Drain the potatoes and dry them with a cloth. Place a layer of potatoes at the bottom of the ovenproof dish, lightly salt and pepper them. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with cheese. Repeat the process until all ingredients are used. Finish with a layer of cheese.

Bake the potato gratin in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown. Serve the baked dish immediately.
