Potato Salad with Onion and Bacon

Ingredients

1 kg Potatoes, white

1 piece Onion, raw

0.25 teaspoons Spices, coriander - seeds

1 pinch Spices, cumin, seeds

100 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon

pieces Parsley, fresh

50 ml Oil, olive

2 spoons Vinegar, balsamic

1 pinch Spices, chili powder

Steps

Wash the potatoes thoroughly under running water and boil them in salted water. Once cooked, cut them into slightly larger pieces.

In a dry pan over medium heat, toast the coriander and cumin seeds for about two minutes, then grind them in a mortar.

In the same pan, fry the bacon until crispy, then roughly chop it.

Slice the onion into slightly thicker pieces. Sauté it in the fat left in the pan from frying the bacon. The onion should lightly brown, and while sautéing, season it with salt and add a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar.

In a large bowl, mix olive oil, the remaining balsamic vinegar, chili, salt, pepper, and the ground coriander and cumin seeds.

Add the drained potatoes, bacon, onion, and chopped parsley. Mix well and serve either warm or cold.
