Ingredients
Apple filling

2 dl Milk, whole milk

200 g Spices, poppy

300 g Cheese, cottage cheese

5 spoon Raisins

1 piece Egg, fresh

1 dl Sour cream

2 spoons Sugar, white

2 spoons Alcohol, Rum
Steps

Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the center. Add the remaining ingredients for the dough and knead into strudel dough. Soak the raisins in rum.

Heat 3 dl of milk in a pot until it boils. Pour the poppy seeds into a bowl and pour 1 dl of the boiling milk over them. Sweeten with regular and vanilla sugar.

Crumble the cottage cheese into a bowl and break it up with a fork. Add an egg, cream, sugar, and the raisins soaked in rum. Mix everything well with a fork.

Place the walnuts in a bowl, pour 2 dl of boiling milk over them, and sprinkle with regular and vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Mix with a fork until you get a creamy mixture.

Wash the apples, dry them with a kitchen towel, then peel, grate, and place them in a bowl. Sprinkle with sugar and heat a pan with a spoon of butter. Add the apples to the pan, mix, and cover with a lid. Steam for 5 minutes, then add cinnamon and lemon zest and mix again. Melt 5 tablespoons of butter in a small pot and preheat the oven to 180°C.

Roll out the strudel dough on a floured surface and stretch it very thin. Trim the thicker edges and cut the dough into 6 equal-sized pieces to fit the baking dish you plan to use. Grease the baking dish with butter and place the first layer of strudel dough on it. Drizzle with melted butter. Add another layer of dough and drizzle with butter. Spread the poppy seed filling evenly over this layer and cover with strudel dough. Drizzle with melted butter. Spread the cottage cheese filling over the dough and cover with another layer of dough. Drizzle with butter, then spread the walnut filling and cover with dough. Drizzle with butter and spread the apple filling. Top with the final layer of dough, drizzle with butter, and pour sour cream over it. Place the dish in the oven and bake the layer cake for one hour.

Remove the baked layer cake from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, cut it into desired-sized pieces and serve on plates.
