Prince Williams Cake
The recipe for Prince Williams favorite cake was revealed a few years ago by Darren McGrady, the former personal chef of Queen Elizabeth II, and it became an overnight online sensation. This chocolate dessert, adored by the youngest members of the royal family and reportedly enjoyed by the Queen herself, is so beloved by Prince William that it was served at his wedding. The cake contains very few ingredients and is extremely simple to prepare, as it doesnt require baking—just a few hours in the refrigerator to set and cool properly.

Ingredients
Dressing
-
200 g chocolate, dark
-
1 teaspoon Butter, unsalted
-
120 g Butter, unsalted
-
120 g Sugar, white
-
120 g chocolate, dark
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
220 g Breadcrumbs, dried
Steps
-
Grease a cake pan (20 cm in diameter) with butter or line it with transparent food wrap. Break the biscuits into smaller pieces (about the size of almonds) by hand. Melt the chocolate over a double boiler and let it cool until lukewarm.
-
In a bowl, whisk the softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the melted chocolate and mix until you get a uniform mixture, then add the egg. Continue mixing until the ingredients are well combined and you have a thick cream. Gradually fold in the broken biscuits with a spatula. Make sure all the biscuit pieces are coated with the chocolate mixture.
-
Transfer the mixture to the greased pan and spread it evenly across the entire surface, smoothing the top. It's important that the bottom is fully covered with the mixture, as this will become the top of the cake. Refrigerate the pan for at least 3 hours.
-
Once the cake has cooled and set, remove it from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature while you melt the chocolate over steam.
-
Carefully remove the cake ring and invert the cake onto a plate. Pour the melted chocolate over the top, spreading it evenly over the surface and sides. Wait for the chocolate to set, then slice the cake into portions, serve on plates, and enjoy.
