Pudding Slices with Lemon Glaze
A delicious pastry consisting of two layers of delicate puff pastry, with a rich butter pudding cream sandwiched in between. To make the pastry even more flavorful and appealing, apricot jam and a refreshing lemon glaze are thinly spread on top of the pastry. This is definitely a dessert that can be prepared for many occasions and will always earn you numerous compliments.

Ingredients
Lemon sauce

150 g Powdered sugar

500 g Dough, puff

600 ml Milk, whole milk

120 g Sugar, white

2 bags Pudding, vanilla

100 g Butter, unsalted

3 spoons Marmalade, orange

Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out thinly on a lightly floured work surface. The rolled-out pastry should be large enough to be cut into four rectangles, approximately 20 x 30 centimeters in size.

Line a low baking tray with parchment paper. If the tray is large enough, place two pieces of rolled-out pastry on it; otherwise, use just one. Prick the pastry with a fork in several places before baking. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes, or until it puffs up and turns golden brown on top.

Cook a thick pudding using milk, sugar, and vanilla powder, then let it cool. Cream the softened butter with an electric mixer, then gradually mix in the cooled pudding, one spoonful at a time.

Generously spread the prepared butter pudding cream over two pieces of the baked pastry. Cover them with the remaining two pieces of baked pastry. Thinly spread apricot jam over the top layer of pastry.

Finally, make a medium-thick glaze using lemon sugar, powdered sugar, and hot water. Pour the glaze over the prepared dessert. Wait for the glaze to set, then cut the dessert into slices. Serve on a large plate or platter.
