Puff Pastry Roll with Ground Meat

Ingredients

1.5 spoons Oil, olive

300 g Meat, beef, ground

2 spoons Tomato, concentrate

Steps

Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop them separately. Wash and dry the tomatoes and celery. Cut them into small pieces.

Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onion until it becomes translucent. Add the ground meat and quickly fry it together with the onion.

Add tomato paste, tomatoes, celery, and garlic to the fried meat. Cook for another 2-3 minutes while stirring constantly, then season the mixture with Italian herbs, salt, and ground pepper.

Transfer the fried meat and vegetables to a bowl. Let it cool slightly, then mix in half of the grated cheese and a beaten egg. Let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Take a baking dish and unroll the puff pastry on it. Brush the edges of the pastry with a beaten egg, then spread half of the length of the pastry with the meat-vegetable filling, and sprinkle the remaining grated cheese on top.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and gently press the edges together with your fingers to seal. Brush the top and sides of the pastry roll with a beaten egg and optionally sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.

Bake the puff pastry roll in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 20 to 25 minutes. It is done when the pastry turns golden brown.
