Quick Chili with Ground Meat
Chili (originally chili con carne) is a popular Mexican one-pot dish made with beef, chilies, red beans, tomatoes, and spices. If we use ground meat, canned tomatoes, and beans along with a chili spice mix, we can prepare it in no more than 30 minutes!

Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
500 g Meat, beef, ground
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 piece Bell pepper, red, fresh
-
2 piece Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 spoon Spices, chili powder
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
400 g Tomato, pieces - can
-
425 g Beans, grains, cooked
-
4 spoon Sour cream
-
5 twig Coriander, leaves, fresh
Steps
-
Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash the bell pepper and chilies, clean them (remove the stems and seeds), and cut them into smaller pieces. Drain the canned beans and rinse them thoroughly under running water. Drain the rinsed beans well.
-
Heat the oil in a large pot. Add the ground meat to the heated fat and fry it over moderate heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the onion, garlic, chilies, and bell pepper, and fry all the ingredients for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Add the spices, tomatoes, and beans, and bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover the pot, and let the chili simmer slowly for another 10 minutes or until the vegetables soften.
-
Rinse the cilantro sprigs under running water, dry them, and roughly chop them. Taste the chili and season it further with pepper and salt if needed. Serve it in bowls, garnish with a spoonful of sour cream, sprinkle with cilantro, and serve with bread or tortillas.
