Quick Chocolate Coconut Slices
Chocolate and coconut are the best pair, and this time I combined them in a very tasty slice that is also quick to prepare. When the dessert was already made, I had the idea to add soaked cherries to the cream as a counterbalance. I havent tried this combination yet, but I definitely will the next time I bake this treat.

Ingredients
Biscuit
-
4 pieces Egg, fresh
-
200 g Sugar, white
-
200 ml Milk, whole milk
-
200 ml Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
200 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
1 bag Baking powder
-
3 spoons Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
Cream
-
1 l Milk, whole milk
-
200 g Sugar, white
-
2 bags Sugar, white
-
9 spoon Semolina
-
200 g Coconut, flakes
-

pieces Coconut, flakes
Steps
-
When preparing the sponge, preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius, and grease a baking dish of approximately 22 x 36 centimeters with butter.
-
Beat the eggs and sugar until you get a fluffy mixture. Add the oil and milk and mix well.
-
Sift the mixture of flour, baking powder, and cocoa over the mixture and slowly fold it in. Pour half of the batter into the baking dish and bake it in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes (do not bake the sponge completely!).
-
Prepare the cream. Heat the milk, sugar, and vanilla sugar until boiling. Stir in the semolina and cook for about 3 minutes while stirring, or until the mixture thickens. Finally, mix in the coconut.
-
Spread the prepared cream evenly over the half-baked sponge. Pour the other half of the batter on top and bake the treat for another 20 minutes.
-
Cool the treat well before serving. Sprinkle coconut on top and cut into slices.
