Ingredients
-
500 g Cheese, cottage cheese
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
2 spoons Sugar, white
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
0.5 spoons Vinegar, apple
-
500 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
0.5 spoons Baking powder
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Line a large baking tray with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, eggs, sugar, and salt. In a smaller bowl, mix the baking soda and vinegar, then add it to the cottage cheese mixture.
-
In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Add them to the bowl with the cottage cheese and quickly knead into a smooth dough. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour.
-
Place the dough on a well-floured work surface, quickly knead it a bit more, then divide it into 16 equal parts. Shape each piece into a ball by hand or by gently rolling it on the counter. Place them on the baking tray with some space between them and slightly flatten them. Optionally, make a cross-shaped cut on top of each bun.
-
Bake the buns in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then brush them with melted butter while still hot.
