Ingredients
-
80 g Flour, Wheat, bread flour
-
40 g Cocoa, powdered, unsweetened
-
200 g Sugar, white
-
pieces Milk, whole milk
-
1 kg Breadcrumbs, dried
-
pieces Coconut, flakes
Steps
-
First, prepare the pudding. Sift the flour and cocoa powder into a bowl. Add sugar and mix the ingredients well. Then pour in enough cold milk to create a more liquid mixture, which must be thoroughly mixed to avoid any lumps.
-
Pour the remaining milk into a suitably sized pot and bring it to a boil. Slowly mix the chocolate mixture into the boiling milk. Cook over medium heat while continuously stirring until the cream or pudding comes to a boil, then cook for another minute to thicken it properly. If necessary, add a little more milk during cooking to prevent the pudding from becoming too thick.
-
Remove the pot from the heat and let the pudding cool slightly. Stir it well several times while cooling to prevent a skin from forming on the surface.
-
Take a glass baking dish or another container with straight sides and first layer the cookies in it, then spread about 1/4 of the pudding over them. Follow with another layer of cookies, which you also cover with 1/4 of the pudding. Repeat the process twice more, ensuring that the layering ends with a layer of pudding.
-
Cover the top layer of the dessert with cling film to prevent a skin from forming. Wait for the dessert to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it for at least 2 hours to allow the cookies to soften nicely and the pudding to set.
-
Decorate the dessert before serving with coconut, whipped cream, ground hazelnuts, fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, or similar toppings. *Translated and adapted recipe from How to make no bake pudding cake from the YouTube channel Tasty Escapes.
