Ingredients
-
400 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.5 bags Baking powder
-
180 g Sugar, white
-
1 bag Sugar, white
-
150 g Spices, poppy
-
2 piece Egg, fresh
-
250 ml Milk, whole milk
-
120 ml Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
200 g Peach, fresh
-
pieces Butter, unsalted
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius. Place the drained peach halves on a plate lined with paper towels. Let them drain well. In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder. Add both types of sugar and poppy seeds, and mix the ingredients well.
-
In another bowl, first whisk the eggs with a hand whisk, then mix them with milk and oil. Pour the mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix everything well until you get a smooth batter without lumps.
-
Cut half of the peaches into small pieces and mix them into the batter. Grease a deep baking dish with butter and dust it with flour (remove any excess flour). Pour the poppy seed batter into the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula, smoothing the top. Arrange the remaining peach halves on top of the batter, cutting them as desired. Bake the pastry in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Let the baked pastry cool.
-
Once cooled, cut the pastry into pieces of your desired size, arrange them on a plate or platter, and serve.
