Ingredients
-
800 g Potatoes, white
-
2.5 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 pod Garlic, fresh
-
1 piece Chili peppers, red chili, fresh
-
20 g Ginger, fresh
-
1 spoon Spices, curry powder
-
150 g Yogurt, plain, from whole milk
-
4 spoon Tomato sauce, without salt
-
1.5 spoons Juice, lemon
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table

Steps
-
Peel the potatoes, wash them thoroughly, and cut them into smaller cubes. Heat oil in a larger pan, and fry the potato cubes over moderate heat while stirring, for about 20 minutes.

While frying the potatoes, prepare the onion, garlic, ginger, and chili. Peel the onion and chop it very finely. Peel the garlic and ginger, wash the chili, cut it in half, and clean it (remove the seeds). Chop everything very finely and add it to the pan with the potatoes along with the onion. Quickly fry while stirring, then sprinkle with garam masala and mix well.

Mix the yogurt and tomato puree in a bowl and stir into the potatoes. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for another 10 minutes.
-
Season the potato curry to taste with lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Serve the prepared dish on plates and offer it.
