Peel the garlic, crush it with a knife, and finely chop. Drain the capers and olives, then cut them into small pieces. Wash the cherry tomatoes. Pour the canned tomatoes into a tall container and blend them smoothly with an immersion blender. In a bowl, combine the tomato mixture, cherry tomatoes, garlic, capers, olive oil, and olives. Season with salt and pepper, and cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Meanwhile, place a pot with a generous amount of salted water on the stove. Wait for the water to boil, then add the ravioli and cook them for the time indicated on the package. Drain the cooked ravioli well. Rinse the basil under running water and shake it dry.

Toss the ravioli into the prepared sauce and mix everything well. Serve the ravioli on plates, drizzle with a spoonful of pesto, and garnish with basil leaves.
