Ingredients
-
800 g Cabbage, red, fresh
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
2 piece Apple, fresh
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
1 teaspoon Juice, lemon
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
300 ml Soup base, chicken, cube
-
5 spoon Alcohol, Wine, Red
-
1 teaspoon Baking powder
-
4 spoon Blueberry, compote
Steps
-
Thoroughly wash the cabbage, clean it, and finely shred (or slice very thinly). Peel the onion and apples. Finely chop the onion and grate the apples. Place a pot on the stove, heat the oil, and sauté the onion until it becomes translucent.
-
Add the cabbage, season with salt to taste, and cook for about 3 minutes while stirring constantly. Drizzle with lemon juice, then cover the pot and let the cabbage simmer for another 5 minutes. Pour the vegetable broth over the cabbage, cover the pot again, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
-
In a bowl, mix the red wine with starch and stir it into the cabbage. Add the cranberries and grated apples. Cook uncovered until the sauce thickens, then remove the pot from the heat. Serve the red cabbage in bowls and offer it to your guests as a side dish.
