Red Grape Jam
During the season when fresh grapes are abundant, take the effort to make a stock of homemade jam. You can make it from white grapes, but it is also excellent from red grapes with the addition of good red wine.

Ingredients
-
900 g Grapes, red and yellow, fresh
-
240 ml Alcohol, Wine, Red
-
800 g Sugar, white
Steps
-
Wash the grapes and remove the seeds. Thoroughly wash the jars for storing and place them in the oven preheated to 80 degrees Celsius for at least 15 minutes.
-
Place a thick-bottomed pot on the stove, add the grapes and wine. Cook the grapes over medium heat for about 10 to 15 minutes. Then add the sugar, increase the temperature (just enough so that the jam simmers slightly) and cook, stirring occasionally, until the jam thickens appropriately. Check the thickness by placing a little jam on a well-cooled plate, wait 3 minutes, then push it with your finger. If it wrinkles, it is ready.
-
Fill the hot jam into the hot jars. Fill the jars to just below the rim. Seal the jars tightly and turn them upside down. Wait 10 minutes, then turn the jars back upright, cover with a thick blanket, and let them cool slowly.
