Ingredients

450 g Cheese, edamame

450 g Sauerkraut

1.5 spoons Butter, unsalted

6 slice Bread, rye

2 spoons Grill sauce

170 g Meat, beef, shoulder

3 pieces Egg, fresh

375 ml Milk, skimmed

1 spoon Mustard

2 pinch Salt, table

1 pinch Spices, pepper, black

Grate the Swiss cheese, and place the sauerkraut in a large colander, rinse it under plenty of water, and drain well.

Prepare a large ovenproof dish and grease it well with butter. Line the bottom of the dish with 3 slices of rye bread, spread them with a tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing, and layer with half of the pastrami, sauerkraut, and cheese.

Repeat the process and create another layer with the same ingredients. Prepare a separate bowl in which you whisk the eggs, milk, and mustard, and season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the dish, then let the prepared ingredients rest for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the dish in the preheated oven on the middle rack for 40 minutes.
