Steps
-
Vegetable Filling: Slice half of the red and yellow bell peppers into thin strips. Finely chop the Chinese cabbage, celery root, and carrot. Place the chopped vegetables in a bowl and season with vinegar, mustard, and mustard seeds. Add salt and pepper as needed, then mix the ingredients well.
-
Meat: First, thoroughly dry the beef steak with a paper towel, then season it with salt and pepper. Let the seasoning penetrate the meat while heating a pan. Pour a little oil into the hot pan and sear the meat on all sides until it reaches the desired temperature. Wrap the cooked meat in aluminum foil and let it rest for 10 minutes.
-
Herb Butter: Finely chop the thyme and parsley and add them to a bowl with softened butter. Mix the ingredients with a hand mixer until the butter becomes fluffy.
-
Spicy Sauce: Slice the onion thinly and sauté it in a greased pan until softened. Add the spicy sauce and heat everything together for a little longer.
-
Fried Potatoes: Slice the potatoes thinly (like for fries). Wash the slices well and let them dry slightly. Then fry them golden brown in hot oil. Lightly salt the fried potatoes.
-
Assembling the Sandwich: Cut the bread lengthwise in half and lightly toast the cut side. Spread the herb butter on the bottom half. Add the sliced meat and top it with the spicy sauce and seasoned vegetables. Cover the sandwich with the top half, cut it in half, and serve with the fried potatoes.
