Ingredients
-
800 g Broccoli, fresh
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
3 spoons Oil, olive
-
pieces Salt, table
-
2 teaspoons Lemon zest, fresh
-
2 spoons Juice, lemon
-
pieces Cheese, Parmesan, grated
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Line a small baking tray with baking paper. Clean the broccoli, wash it, and separate it into individual florets, which you then toss into a bowl. Peel the garlic, chop it (or slice it) and add it to the bowl with the broccoli. Add oil, salt, and pepper, and mix well so that all the broccoli pieces are evenly seasoned.
-
Transfer the seasoned broccoli to the baking tray, spreading it out evenly. Place the tray in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until the broccoli softens and turns nicely brown on top.
-
Season the roasted broccoli with lemon zest and juice. Transfer it to a nice plate or platter and serve. You can grate some Parmesan cheese on top if desired.

Advice
Roasted broccoli can be spiced up with the addition of toasted pine nuts or almond slices. Instead of olive oil, you can use another type of oil. Sesame and peanut oil work exceptionally well.
