Ingredients
-
1 piece Cabbage, fresh
-
pieces Oil, olive
-
pieces Salt, table
-
50 g Meat, pork, smoked bacon
-
120 ml Sweet cream
-
100 g Cheese, Roquefort
-
1 spoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 teaspoon Mustard
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
-
Carefully clean and wash the cabbage head. With a large knife, cut it into quarters, then cut each quarter in half to end up with eight thicker slices, which you arrange in the prepared baking dish.
-
Season the cabbage slices with salt and pepper on both sides, then drizzle them with a little oil. Sprinkle thinly sliced bacon sticks on top.
-
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes (depending on how roasted you want the slices to be).
-
While the cabbage is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small pot, add cream, crumbled cheese, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Slowly heat the contents while stirring on low heat until the cheese melts and combines with the cream. Let the sauce simmer slightly, then remove the pot from the heat.
-
Transfer the roasted cabbage to a serving plate or platter. You can pour the sauce over the cabbage or serve it separately in a small dish alongside the roasted cabbage.
