Roasted Chickpeas with Honey and Spices

425 g Chickpea, raw

1 spoon Oil, olive

2 spoons Honey

0.5 teaspoons Spices, cinnamon, ground

1 pinch Spices, nutmeg, ground

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Line a low baking dish with parchment paper. Drain the chickpeas from the can, rinse them under running water, and drain again. Spread them on a clean towel and dry thoroughly.

Arrange the dried chickpeas in a single layer on the baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until they become nicely crispy. Stir them occasionally during baking if needed.

In a large bowl, mix the oil, honey, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the roasted chickpeas and mix well to ensure all the grains are evenly seasoned. You can serve the chickpeas immediately or spread them back on the baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for another 10 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
