Roasted Leeks

Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Clean the leeks, cut them in half lengthwise, and wash them thoroughly under running water. Dry the washed leeks with paper towels, place them in a large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt. Mix well to ensure the leeks are evenly seasoned.

Place a grill pan on the stove and heat it well. Place the leek halves on the hot pan (cut side down). When the leek halves are nicely browned on the bottom, carefully flip them and cook the other side.

Transfer the roasted leek halves to a deep baking dish. Drizzle them with olive oil, add a few drops of balsamic vinegar, and bake in the preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes until they are nicely softened.
