Ingredients
-
3 pieces Parsnip, fresh
-
2 spoons Honey
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
3 pinch Salt, table
-
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black
Steps
-
Thoroughly wash the parsnip, peel it, and clean it. Cut it lengthwise into quarters. Place a large pot of salted water on the stove and bring it to a boil. Add the parsnip to the boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Fill a large bowl with cold water, then use a slotted spoon to remove the parsnip from the pot and immerse it in the cold water. Drain the parsnip well.
-
Preheat the oven to 220°C. Place a heatproof pan on the stove and heat some olive oil in it. Add the parsnip to the pan, season with salt and pepper. Roast it over medium-high heat for 10 minutes. Turn it occasionally to ensure it becomes golden brown on all sides.
-
Remove the pan with the parsnip from the heat, drizzle it with honey, and roast it in the preheated oven for another 5 minutes to caramelize. Serve the parsnip while still warm.
