The dough for rye bread is prepared from rye flour (from 30 to a maximum of 80 percent) and wheat flour. Rye flour gives the bread a slightly sour taste, so when baking it for the first time, its better not to use too much.

Steps
- Sift the rye and wheat flour into a bowl and mix them well. Transfer the flour to a clean work surface. Then prepare the rye bread according to the instructions for whole wheat bread. The only difference is that instead of forming two loaves from the dough, shape it into one loaf.
