Ingredients

4 pieces Pear, fresh

1 piece Lemon, fresh, without shell

2.5 spoons Honey

15 pieces Saffron, dry
Steps

Wash the pears and carefully peel them with a peeler. Place them in a tall pot and pour in enough water so that the stems stick out of the water. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice from both halves. Pour the lemon juice into the pot with the pears. Add the honey and saffron threads.

Place the pot on the stove and cook the pears over moderate heat for about 20 minutes until they soften. Carefully remove the softened pears from the pot and place them on plates. Cook the liquid in the pot over high heat until it thickens.

Pour the liquid over the pears and serve immediately.

Advice
Instead of honey, you can use sugar. The pears can be served with whipped cream.
