Ingredients
-
4 slice Bread, wheat
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
30 g Butter, unsalted
-
1 head Endive salad, fresh
-
125 g Cheese, Gorgonzola
-
1 handful Walnuts
-
2 piece Pear, fresh
Yogurt sauce
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
3 teaspoons Vinegar, distilled
-
1.5 dl Yogurt, plain, from skimmed milk
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
Steps
-
Peel the pears, cut them in half lengthwise, and remove the core. Cut the pear flesh into smaller pieces. Remove the crust from the bread slices, then cut the bread into smaller cubes.
-
Place a pan on the stove and heat it slightly, then add butter and oil. Heat until bubbles appear. Add the bread cubes to the pan and fry them for about 3 minutes, stirring (or shaking the pan) until they turn a nice golden brown. Remove them from the pan and place them on paper towels to absorb excess fat. Wash the salad, clean it, dry it, and tear it into smaller pieces. Place the washed salad leaves in a large bowl. Crumble the gorgonzola on top, and add the walnuts and pear pieces.
-
In a plastic container for preparing salad dressing, pour the yogurt. Add salt, a tablespoon of oil, and vinegar. Mix the ingredients well, then pour the dressing over the salad. Finally, sprinkle the salad with the toasted bread cubes and serve the prepared salad at the table.

If desired, the salad can be served in one large bowl or divided into smaller salad bowls. You can also use a mixed salad, prepared from a combination of green lettuce, young spinach leaves, arugula, radicchio…
