Ingredients

500 g Chili peppers, red chili, fresh

2 teaspoons Salt, table

1 spoon Juice, lemon
Steps

Rinse the chili peppers under running water and dry them with paper towels. Remove the stems. Place a pan on the stove and dry roast the chili peppers until they soften slightly. Be careful not to burn them!

Place the slightly cooled roasted chili peppers in a food processor and add salt and lemon juice. Blend everything into a smooth paste. Wait a few minutes before transferring the sauce from the processor.

Pour the prepared chili sauce into a clean sterilized jar or serve it as a side dish with your chosen meal.

Advice
In a sealed jar, the sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 weeks. Lemon juice can be replaced with white vinegar or lime juice. For preparing the sauce, lombok chili peppers are most suitable, but they can be substituted with other fresh red chili peppers. If desired, seeds can be removed from the cooled chili peppers.
