Ingredients
-
4 pieces Carniolan sausage
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
140 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose
-
0.5 teaspoons Salt, table
-
3 pieces Egg, fresh
-
300 ml Milk, whole milk
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius. Place the sausages in a deep baking dish (20 x 30 cm), drizzle them with oil, and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
-
While the sausages are baking, prepare the batter. In a bowl, sift the flour and mix it with salt. Make a well in the center and crack the eggs into it. Mix the ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth, then slowly pour in the milk in a thin stream. Once you have a smooth batter without lumps, stop mixing.
-
Remove the baking dish with the sausages from the oven and pour the prepared batter over them. Quickly return it to the oven and bake for another 20 to 30 minutes (do not open the oven while baking) or until the batter rises nicely, turns golden brown, and becomes crispy.
