Sausages in Puff Pastry
Sausages in pastry can be prepared with yeast dough, but puff pastry is a much quicker and simpler choice. Before using it, you just need to thaw and roll it out. If you want to speed things up a bit, you can also use fresh puff pastry from a roll. Sausages in pastry can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or as a snack with a bowl of salad. They are also excellent as a snack served at a party or picnic.

Ingredients
-
450 g Dough, puff
-
8 pieces Frankfurter
-
1 piece Egg, fresh
-
1 handful Cheese, edamame
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius. Place the pastry on a lightly floured work surface and roll it out to a thickness of 0.5 centimeters. Cut the rolled-out pastry into eight triangles.
-
Take one triangle and place a sausage on the wider end, then wrap it nicely with the pastry. The tip of the triangle should be on the bottom so that the pastry doesn't open up during baking. Repeat the process until all the sausages are wrapped.
-
Line a low baking dish with parchment paper and arrange the pastry-wrapped sausages on it. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with cheese or seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds). Bake the sausages in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. They are ready when the pastry puffs up and turns a nice golden brown color.
