Ingredients
-
2 spoons Oil, olive
-
8 pieces Carniolan sausage
-
1 piece Onion, raw
-
1 piece Bell pepper, red, fresh
-
1 piece Bell pepper, yellow, fresh
-
3 pods Garlic, fresh
-
410 g Lentils, cooked, can
-
300 ml Soup base, beef, cube
-
1 pinch Salt, table
-
2 pinch Spices, pepper, black
-
5 twig Thyme, fresh
Steps
-
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Drain the lentils from the can and rinse them under running water. Peel the onion and cut it in half. Slice both halves thinly. Wash the bell peppers, clean them (remove the stems and seeds), and cut them into smaller pieces.
-
Heat oil in a large pan and fry the sausages. Turn them occasionally to ensure they are evenly browned on all sides. Transfer the fried sausages to a plate, and add the onion to the pan. Lightly salt it and sauté over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until softened. Then add the bell peppers and garlic, and sauté everything together for about 2 more minutes.
-
Add the drained lentils, mix well, and pour in the broth. Season to taste with pepper and salt.
-
Transfer the mixture from the pan to a baking dish. Arrange the fried sausages and thyme sprigs on top. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the foil and finish baking the dish.
-
Serve the prepared dish on plates and accompany it with bread.
