Place a pot with a liter of water on the stove and add the sausages. Cook them over moderate heat until the water boils. Then remove the pot from the heat and take out the sausages. Cut the cheese into small, thin pieces that will serve as nails on the sausages.

Make a cut at one end of the sausages and remove a narrow strip from the top. Place the cheese pieces on the cut ends and arrange everything on a plate. Drizzle ketchup over the other end of the sausages and serve.
