Schwarzwald Pancakes
The world-famous Schwarzwald cake (also known as Black Forest cake) is essentially made of chocolate sponge, whipped cream, and marinated cherries. Since its preparation is quite complex and time-consuming, we can simplify the process by making pancakes filled with chocolate spread and decorated with whipped cream and marinated cherries. Sounds tempting, doesnt it?

Ingredients
Dough

220 g Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose

2 piece Egg, fresh

350 ml Milk, whole milk

1 dl Water

1 spoon Oil, vegetable oil, canola

1 pinch Salt, table

1 teaspoon Sugar, white

4 spoon Chocolate spread, with hazelnuts

200 ml Sweet cream

pieces Cherries, fresh

pieces Dressing, caramel

pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola
Steps

First, prepare the batter: pour flour into a bowl. Gradually mix in the eggs, milk, mineral water, and oil, and whisk everything together with a hand whisk (or electric mixer) into a smooth, runny batter. Season with salt and sugar to taste. Let the prepared batter rest for at least 20 minutes.

Place a pan on the stove and heat it well. Pour a little oil into the hot pan and spread it evenly. Then pour enough batter into the pan to thinly cover the bottom. When the pancake is cooked on one side, carefully flip it with a spatula and cook the other side. Transfer the cooked pancake to a warmed plate and cover it to keep it warm. Repeat the process until you run out of batter. Add oil as needed.

While still warm, thinly spread the pancakes with chocolate spread and roll them up. Serve two pancakes per plate. In a bowl, whip the sweet cream with an electric mixer until stiff. Fill a piping bag with the whipped cream and pipe dollops onto the pancakes (use a star-shaped nozzle). Decorate the pancakes with marinated cherries and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Serve the prepared dessert.

Advice
Instead of chocolate spread, you can also use hazelnut spread. To keep the pancakes warm, place them on a plate, cover it, and put it in an oven preheated to 50 degrees Celsius.
