Ingredients

4 spoon Oil, olive

2 piece Onion, raw

0.25 teaspoons Salt, table

4 pods Garlic, fresh

1.2 kg Fish, squid

0.25 teaspoons Spices, pepper, black

560 g Tomato sauce, without salt

100 ml Alcohol, Wine, White

4 dl Water

2 spoons Breadcrumbs, dried

1 spoon Parsley, fresh
Steps

Clean the squid under running water and dry well with paper towels. Cut the bodies into rings about 0.5 cm wide. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté the onion while stirring. Salt the onion while frying. Once softened, add the garlic, squid, and peppercorns. Cook over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid evaporates.

Add Naturetina tomato sauce, mix well, and pour in the wine and about 4 dl of water (add more water later if needed). Cook until the squid becomes tender.

Once the squid is tender, remove the pot from the heat and stir in breadcrumbs to thicken the sauce. Garnish the prepared dish with parsley and serve with polenta.
